Laboratories

In collaboration with Land Management Training Center (LMTC), Geomatics Engineering program at Kathmandu University have extensive laboratory exercises. There are three different labs for different purposes. 

Survey Lab

This lab is focused on development of students mainly on ground surveying activities. We provides the necessary resources and instructions regarding the surveying to the srudents. Following are the instruments available at Survey Lab of Department of Geomatics Engineering.

Photogrammetry Lab

The photogrammetry Lab at Department of Geomatics Engineering provides necessary resources for aerial survey. Using Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) students perform various research activities and project works. The department has following instruments for students and researchers.

  1. Hexacopter
  2. DJI Phantom 3 Advanced
  3. Smartphone and iPad for flight planning

Geospatial Lab

The department provides the extensive computer laboratory for the students and researcher to conduct the necessary processing and analysis.

Other lab activities workshop lab, computer lab, electrical lab, science lab are conducted in cooperation with other department and schools.
